HubSpot set to acquire billing startup Cacheflow for $100 million

HubSpot, the marketing software vendor, is preparing to acquire Cacheflow, a startup that provides billing software for businesses, for approximately $100 million, according to a source familiar with the deal.

The acquisition, which may be announced soon, aims to bolster HubSpot’s invoicing services alongside its current offerings in sales, marketing, and customer service software.

Cacheflow, founded in 2021, raised $16 million from investors, including Alphabet’s venture capital arm and Notable Capital. The startup had single-digit million-dollar revenue and was rapidly growing, doubling sales roughly every four months. HubSpot's acquisition comes as more enterprise software startups face challenges in maintaining independence due to a tougher sales environment compared to the tech boom of 2020-2021.

Earlier this year, HubSpot was reportedly in talks to sell itself to Google, but the discussions did not result in a deal.
